Mélanie Marcel cofounded SoScience. She is an engineer from ESPCI (French engineering school), and she specialized in waves physics and in neurosciences. Her unique expertise in Europe lead her to advise public organizations (European commission) and industrial groups (Air Liquide, Renault) on new practices. In 2014, her involvement in thinking of science as a lever of social change was acknowledged by Ashoka when she was named Ashoka Changemaker.

Éloïse Szmatula is an engineer. She discovered social entrepreneurship while she was involved in associations as she was studying at an engineering school in Paris (ESPCI). She created SoScience to combine her interest for science and her vision of a fairer society, in which innovations serve common good.
